The Four-Development Phase for IPhone Application Development

Posted by: Robert Allen , January 20, 2011

IPhone mobile applications always have unique characteristics in terms of functionality and features. Just like every software application, an iPhone application undergoes a development lifecycle. The iPhone mobile application development lifecycle has its own scope and complexity. It has to go through a series of logical stages during its development cycle. The series of phases consist of an outset phase, the planning phase, the execution and the distribution phase.

The iPhone application development can be categorized into phases to ensure the team of developers can plan and organize the resources to complete the activity. Each phase helps the development team to establish goals, fixing any errors and completing the development process successfully. Here is an overview on the four predominant development phases of an iphone mobile application that can be enumerated as follows:

The Outset Phase: in the first stage, an iPhone application development company defines the scope of the iphone open application development project. The company appoints an expert development team comprising of the project manager, who selects the team members on the grounds of skill and expertise.

The Planning Phase: The planning stage includes identification and assigning each task until the completion of the application development project. The development team also conducts a risk analysis so as to ensure the successful completion of each deliverable.

The Execution Phase:
This phase is important to accomplish the project requirements. It involves using the iPhone enterprise SDK to build a unique application. The development team becomes involved in the final production and testing the application in the “live” environment. Tools used in the execution phase include score cards and business plans.

Completion Phase:

The project manager makes sure that the project is executed properly. The newly developed application is the submitted to Apple for approval. Sometimes, Apple requests developers to make some changes in the application and then resend for approval. Once approved the iPhone mobile application is displayed in online stores for buyers.
