Apple iPad, which has been the most awaited gadget of this year has recently hit the stores in India. As the iPhone took years to come to India the iPad has been launched pretty much simultaneously across the world including india.

The Apple iPad uses a 1GHz Apple A4 processor and is provided power by a 25Whr rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. One can choose between 16, 32 or 64GB options.

The Apple iPad also has a camera, with built-in speaker & microphone, and wifi connectivity. There are a few cool accessories too that come along with it, they give a keyboard dock along with a full-size keyboard, a brilliant camera connection kit, and a 10W USB power adapter to charge the unit. Apple was even kind enough to provide a trendy case to protect the iPad from scratches.

Now the biggest question was when would the Apple iPad will be available in India and what will be the price in India. Well they won’t have to wait at all, the iPad has already been launched in the country and the Apple distributors in India have said that the Apple iPad in India will cost the same as it is in the US encouraging them to buy it from India and prevent smuggling. The lower-end 16GB variant will be available in India for about Rs.23000. And the higher end models will be available for about Rs.28000 and Rs. 32000.
