Since the new iPhone craze many coders have found that making apps for iPhone and iPad is a gold mine,
if you have original ideas and the skill set to implement them.

Many software developers are jumping on the app bandwagon in hopes of creating the next big thing, the
next viral app. But what many people do not understand is that while iphone apps are a good way to make
money, it is not a real solution for most people.

Creating iphone apps is difficult. You have to have an extensive background in coding and knowledge of
various programming languages. Even if you manage to come up with a good idea, you still need to implement it.

You can look for coders that will work for you for pay, but good programmers are expensive to hire.
Be prepared to spend up to several thousand of dollars per month if you have a team of programmers working on your project.

Another solution is partnering with someone and agreeing to share the profits. Your idea along with a
knowing persons skill set can create a good combination. It works well in theory, but in practice it is completely different.

First of all, people usually want to see instant return not “potential income somewhere in the future”.
Believe me – programmers see hyped projects all the time, promising great returns if only they work for free.
Unless your idea is astounding – you do not have good chances of finding a willing coder to do all the work for you.

Even if you do find such a person, you must provide him or her with a very detailed design document on the
specific project.
A design document is a document containing all the necessary information about the functioning of the project,
in this case, the iphone app. It should include all the options and features to the smallest detail. Don’t expect that
you can write in a few words that you want a “revolutionary iphone multiplayer online game” and expect the
programmer to figure out everything by himself.

Furthermore, it might be required to hire not only a coder, but a graphics designer as well. People like
appealing apps with shiny logos and nice big buttons. If you want your project to succeed you must make it look
professional. Graphics designer will cost you additional money and similarly to the coder – won’t most likely work for free.
