How to View RSS Feeds on Your iPhone?

Posted by: Robert Allen , February 13, 2011

iPhone’s adaptability and style have attracted many people who always look out for the best Apple iPhone applications to adorn their phones. While there may be dozens of applications for apple iPhone, the phone itself hosts a number of applications and features. One of the key features of the iPhone is its ability to support RSS or Really Simple Syndication feeds.
Apple iPhone’s Safari Browser supports RSS feeds that help websites attract a large number of visitors who subscribe to their feeds. RSS is simply a group of web feed formats that’s used to display frequently updated entries of websites and blogs in a standard format. The RSS document includes the Meta data and summary of the entry to let users know whether their subscribed sites have updated any article/blog posts.
Websites benefit from these web feeds as they can syndicate their content automatically. For users, the feeds can be read via RSS reader or feed reader, which can be web based or mobile-device based software. Apple also supports RSS feeds and so there are different variations of RSS readers available for the phone. While they may not be innovative applications as there are many applications for iPhone, they are certainly very useful for users in getting news feeds at a touch of the screen. While browsing through websites, you will always see the RSS button icon on the corner of the address bar. You just need to tap it and get it bookmarked in your RSS reader for future feeds.
You will find many free and paid RSS readers that claim to be one of the best iPhone applications However, it solely depends on you to choose the best application and judge it.
While it is easy for users to get feeds from various sources, websites need to have iphone –optimized versions with an RSS feed to reach a worldwide viewership. There are some new services that help you create iPhone optimized feeds and add by converting a site’s XML RSS into an optimized website for the iPhone.
