When it comes to a tech heavy, smartphone experience, Apple knows what they are talking about. The Apple iPhone 4 comes in either White or Black, with either a 16GB o2 32GB flash drive, but the general specs remain the same in both variations. The phone has a unique Retina display and with a front mounted camera it is capable of video calls or “FaceTime” calls. The device is capable of shooting and editing HD video and has enhanced support for multimedia, internet and messaging.

Apple have taken a more industrial approach in the design of there new iPhone. The iPhone 4 has a specially made steel band which acts as a mount for the prime components and gives the handset rigidity, the reliable feel carries through the phones engineered glass chassis which is incredibly durable and very strong, so strong in fact that it is used in the construction of aircraft and trains. The 3.5 inch screen is absolutely ground breaking. Apple has dubbed it the “Retina Display” due to its 960 x 640 pixel resolution which translates to 326 pixels per inch. It is impossible for the human eye to recognize individual pixels, this means ultra high quality videos and pictures and high clarity web surfing.

The iPhone 4 also benefits from Apple’s iOS4, it enables the phone to run super smooth and the interface is easier to use than ever. Apple has continued with the tech loaded screen which is capacitive, allowing for responsive multi-touch control. The screen has a number of sensors, which include an accelerometer, proximity sensor and three-axis gyro; this means the device has three dimensional uses; this is great for gaming, surfing and messaging. The on-screen keyboard works very nicely thanks to the awesome touch sensitivity.

Apple has loaded the new iPhone with 3G network coverage and Wi FI technology; combined they enable the device to effortlessly communicate over the worldwide web, social networking is a very pleasant experience and web surfing is smooth and efficient. The turbo charged A4 processor pumps out an impressive 1GHz and it has quite alot of responsibility; it blasts users through the many applications and functions at lighting speeds and with more apps available at the App store the processor has a lot more to come; luckily it handles its work very well and there is no indication of lag at all.

The 5MP camera comes with flash and tap focusing. It is capable of very pretty 720p HD recordings at 30 fps and all photos and videos can be uploaded to the likes of YouTube or your Facebook account. The iPhone 4 can also handle a magnitude of video and audio formats; videos look glorious on the high tech screen, while the speaker system does a fine job of sound. A 3.5mm jack lets users plug in there headphones, while the handy docking connection enables users to plug the phone in to there iPod dock.

Master pieces go; the iPhone 4 is the mobile equivalent to a Picasso, or a Monet. It boasts some breakthrough technology in the form of the beautiful Retina Display and the app rich interface provides a full, smartphone experience. Over recent years Apple have been un-rivalled in the smartphone market, and it looks like little has changed as we are soon to enter a new decade.
