Electronic Arts has just released a statement that they will be releasing 2 new Sims expansions soon. The first, The Sims 2 Apartment Life, takes the Sims to the more dense part of town to live in their own apartments. There will also be a new neighborhood complete with coffee shops, playgrounds, and much more for you to explore. This expansion also adds the ability to control multiple Sims households, new character types, and a reputation meter.

The second expansion is The Sims 2 Apartment Pets for the Nintendo DS which is the same at Apartment Life, except focusing more on caring for animals. The Sims 2 Apartment Life for PC will be released August 22, and no word on the release for The Sims 2 Apartment Pets yet.
