The release of the Apple iPhone 4 changed everything. Apple has taken mobile technology to whole new level. The iPhone 4 runs on the new iOS 4 which provides a super slick and very easy interface for users to interact with. The menu system is identical to that of previous iPhone models, but thanks to a turbo charged 1GHz CPU the phone runs quite a bit faster than its predecessors. The touch screen is extremely responsive and supports the multi-touch input method for UI navigation.
With standard protocols for web surfing and social networking being the trend at the moment, Apple have loaded the device with advanced 2G, 3G and Wi Fi technology to enable its users to do so. The phone is fully compatible with the worldwide web and allows users to manage various e-mail and social network accounts simultaneously. The on-screen QWERTY keyboard can be used in both portrait and widescreen mode as the screen as an in-built accelerometer of UI rotation. The screen is also packing a 3 axis gyro sensor which allows the iPhone 4 to recognise three dimensional movement; ideal for gaming.
The 5MP camera can shoot video in 720p high definition at 30fps; it can also capture stills at quite an impressive resolution. All of your videos and pictures can be edited via the wide range of customization and settings tools. Users can benefit from the iPhone 4′s sharing facilities for uploading there content to the likes of Facebook and YouTube. Apple has included a front mounted camera for there FaceTime calls which can be performed with other iPhone 4 users.
As you would expect, the new iPhone is loaded up with an iPod which will handle almost any audio or video file you throw it; videos can be watched in widescreen while the phone also supports FM radio. A 3.5mm audio connection lets users plug in there headphones and the in-built Bluetooth technology enables wireless communication with compatible hardware devices.
It is practically common knowledge that Apple are at the forefront of mobile technology, but with the likes of Samsung and HTC throwing some pretty strong contenders this year, Apple could well have a little competition at last. The Apple iPhone 4 is without a doubt one of the most desirable phones of 2010.
